A thriving Derbyshire car detailing specialist which has completed more than 3,000 vehicles is celebrating five years in business by unveiling ambitious expansion plans.
Velocity Detailing works with high end clients including multi-millionaires, footballers and celebrities and has built a strong reputation for quality, professionalism and attention to detail. Managing director John Harrold said the past five years had exceeded all expectations.

In 2025 John refurbished his Melbourne workshop, investing £10,000 in the latest equipment to create a state-of-the-art facility. As a result of the investment and increased demand, the business doubled its turnover last year. The business has grown largely through word of mouth and repeat custom. John originally launched the business in Sheffield before relocating both his life and company to Derbyshire three years ago. Now aged 41, he says 2026 will be another major year as he plans to recruit staff and significantly increase capacity. He is already actively searching for larger premises in Derbyshire which would allow the business to triple its current output.
John, who lives in Castle Donington, has earned a reputation not only for his technical expertise but also for the care he takes with vehicles that often carry both high financial and emotional value.
