If you’ve landed here, chances are you came via the Derby Business Expo, so first off, thanks for taking a moment to check us out.
Derby Cars – Driven by Derby is brand new. As in… right now new.
While you’re reading this, the App Store and Google Play are doing their final bits of tickling and approving. We’ve literally went live on the 21st April 2026!
So yes, you’ve caught us right at the start.
We’re babies. But like, Babies born with a wealth of knowledge and industry insight. Genius babies.
Now, we’re not going to waffle on about “disruption” or pretend we’ve reinvented the wheel. We haven’t.
What we are doing is putting Derby at the centre of it all.
Think of the ride hailing app that may or may not rhyme with… Tuba, but built only with local drivers. Proper Derby drivers. Licensed by Derby. People who actually live here, work here and are part of the city and more inportantly, are not intentionally bypassing local licensing terms and conditions, because that route is easier…
That’s what Driven by Derby is about.
Because we’ve all seen it:
People championing local, supporting local shops, local events, local business then stepping outside and opening that app (owned by shareholders overseas)… and getting picked up (by drivers licensed miles away.)
We just think there’s a better, more local way of doing things.
We’re here for Fair fares and local folks. 100%
And that’s what we built. Something with Derby at its heart.
