Driven by Derby connects passengers with trusted, licensed local private hire, owner/ operators through a simple on demand dispatch platform. It is designed to help you access extra bookings while you are already working, without changing the way you operate your business.
We work exclusively with Derby licensed operators who understand the city, serve the community and take pride in delivering a safe, professional and reliable service.
We are currently inviting early adopter operators to join the network and help shape the platform as it grows.
How it works
- Passenger bookings are received through our app-based platform
- Jobs are automatically dispatched based on location and availability
- You decide whether to accept or decline each job
- You complete the journey and are paid through the platform
The system is designed to support your existing work patterns, not replace or control them.
Working alongside other platforms
Driven by Derby is designed to complement how you already operate, including working across multiple platforms and with different partenrs. It provides an additional source of local demand during gaps between jobs or quieter periods.
If you are already on the road, you can choose to make yourself available for additional nearby opportunities.
Early adopter terms
As part of our launch phase, early adopters benefit from:
- £5 weekly subscription (contributing to platform development, marketing, and local demand growth)
- 3% + 15p per job service cost (covering platform and operational costs)
- Weekly payouts to maintain clear and consistent earnings visibility

- There is no guarantee of job volume or income
- Jobs are only available when passenger bookings exist
- This platform is designed to create opportunity, not guarantee earnings

- A valid Derby-issued private hire operator licence paired with a Derby private hire license
- A professional, customer-focused approach
- A clean and presentable vehicle
- Access to the required dispatch app system and a suitable device
